Hawaii Nikkei Legacy Exhibition in Yokohama

On June 24, 2017, there will be an opening ceremony of the “Hawaii Nikkei Legacy Photo Exhibition” at the Japan Overseas Migration Museum in Yokohama (near Bashamichi and JR Sakuragicho Stations).  The opening ceremony will be from 13:00~13:45 after which, I will be performing from 14:00~14:30.

With numerous photos and artifacts, the exhibition traces the history of Japanese emigrants and their descendants in Hawaii. The exhibition is in both, English and Japanese.

Since my father was in the 100th Infantry Battalion, I am very honored to be a part of this exhibition.

I will be performing for about 30 min. with five other musicians (Aitor Hernandez, Naoko Ozawa, Yukie Sasaki, Ethan Toyama, and Harvey Yoshioka) and a few hula dancers (Kumu Hula, Kozue Suzuki, and her keiki hula dancers).
